Cultural Council

The Washington Cultural Council is a local agency funded by Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. The purpose of the local agency is to support programs that promote access, education, diversity, and excellence in the arts, humanities, and sciences in communities across the Commonwealth.

The council is always interested in supporting new projects and events.  Grant applications are accepted each fall and are submitted through the online Mass Cultural Council's Grants Management System.  Anyone with a special project or event proposal is welcome to apply for a grant, however, the council does give priority to:

• Applicants using a local venue
• Projects that serve our community youth or the elderly
• Projects that focus on community-oriented activities for and within the Washington community
