Harm Reduction Mobile Services at Town Hall, Tuesday 12/27

UPDATE 12/27/22: Unfortunately, due to mechanical failures, the BHS Harm Reduction Services van will be unable to make it to Washington today. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The Harm Reduction Services van provides free naloxone and overdose education; syringe services and safe sharps disposal; testing and prevention for Hepatitis C, HIV, and STDs; as well as outreach for local recovery programs.

Our community is not immune to the unfortunate trends affecting Berkshire County regarding declining mental health and increased substance abuse which have worsened during the Covid pandemic.

This mobile program helps bring these vital health services to rural areas like ours where access and support can otherwise be out of reach.

In order to conserve resources, the mobile van will not be available again in Washington until late spring. There will continue to be scheduled van visits in Pittsfield and other Berkshire Towns. Check the BHS website for the most current schedule.
