What is the registration deadline for the May 8, 2024 Annual Town Meeting?
If you are not currently registered to vote in Washington the deadline that you must register by is Saturday, April 27th.
There will be a voter registration session on this date, from 9:00 am - 11:00 am and 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
What are the registration deadline for the 2024 elections?
If you are not currently registered to vote in Washington or you need to change your current registration (e.g. party affiliation), there are deadlines that you must register by:
- March 5th Presidential Primary: registration deadline is Saturday, February 24th
- September 3rd State Primary: registration deadline Saturday, August 24th
- November 5th State Election: registration deadline is Saturday, October 26th
On these registration deadlines, there will be a registration session held from 9:00 am - 11:00 am and 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Washington Town Hall.
How Do I Register to Vote?
- In-Person: At the Town Clerk’s office on Monday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 PM.
- By Mail: Request a mail-in form from the Town Clerk or download it here.
- Automatic Voter Registration: When applying for or renewing your driver’s license or state ID at the Registry of Motor Vehicles or applying for health insurance through MassHealth or the Commonwealth Health Connector, you will be automatically registered to vote, unless you opt out of registering.
- Online: Using the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Online Voter Registration (OVR) System. In order to register to vote online, you must have a signature on file with the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
- Special Voter Registration Sessions: Held before elections and town meetings. Notice of these registration sessions will be published on the website and in the Tracks newsletter.
