Town Plan Steering Committee

The Town Plan Steering Committee was created following the adoption of the Washington Town Plan in May 2021, as outlined in the Implementation section of the plan.

The Steering Committee is made up of one appointee each from the Planning Board, the Finance Committee, and the Select Board, plus two additional members to be nominated by the Select Board. The Planning Board has final authority over the membership of the Steering Committee.

The Committee is charged with overseeing the implementation of the Town Plan, exploring and developing initiatives in the five Project areas of the plan:

• Housing Expansion
• Senior Housing
• Marketing & Communications
• Business Development
• Financial Sustainability

The Committee has been joined in this effort by a regular group of committed residents, including: Josh Greene, Carol Lew, Peter Matson, Susan Colgan Matson, and Allison Mikaniewicz. Other interested residents are welcome to attend.
