Music in the Park Kicks Off This Sunday, 7/31

For a second year, the Friends of the Washington Town Park present a series of free Sunday concerts in the Town Park during the month of August (but starting in July!), sponsored by the Washington, Becket, and Hinsdale Cultural Councils.
The season kicks off this Sunday, 7/31, at 4:00pm with singer/storyteller Matt York presenting The Highway Men – Songs and Stories. York will perform the songs of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, and Waylon Jennings and tell stories of their careers.
There will be family-friendly outdoor fun, fairy garden activities for the kids, and a 50/50 raffle to raise money to improve the playground. Blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic baskets are welcome.
