Spring Bird Walk

Saturday June 13th at 8:00 AM | Washington Town Park

This year’s spring bird walk, led by Matt Watson, will begin at the Town Park. Other spots we might visit include Muddy Pond, Upper Valley Marsh, and October Mountain State Forest. Our town’s elevation and wetlands provide habitat for a wide variety of species, including Warblers, Bluebirds, Vireos, Broad-winged Hawks, Northern Harriers, American Bittern, and Virginia Rail, to name a few. If you’re interested, bring your binoculars (we’ll have a few extra pairs if you don’t have any), your curiosity, and your love of nature—and come prepared to see what surprises await us this year.
