Washington Town Picnic Tomorrow, Saturday, 8/19

The Washington Town Picnic is on for tomorrow, Saturday, August 19, noon to 3:00ish at the Town Common.*

This is the Berkshires, so the weather forecast changes all the time. But right now the outlook seems to be improving by the hour. The grass may be damp, so bring lawn chairs or a heavy blanket.

Everyone should BYO picnic lunch, but we’ll have lemonade & iced tea available. Anyone who is so inclined should feel free to bring a special treat to share on our potluck dessert table. (Rumor has it that Linda Levernoch has been in the kitchen preparing some of her renowned goodies also!)

Catch up with friends & neighbors and get to meet some new folks in town, including Sean, our new Town Administrator. Frisbees and kites, etc., are welcome. But please leave any four-footed friends at home.

* Not to be confused with the Town Park. The Town Common is at the corner of Washington Mountain Rd & West Branch Rd on the edge of the State Forest, across from the Old Town Hall.

And remember, if you’re coming from the eastern half of town, Frost Rd is closed to through traffic at the top; so you’ll have to detour around Lovers Lane and Schulze Rds. (Or for those in Johnson Hill/Middlefield Rd area, you might come down High St and up Brooker Hill Rd.)
