Winter Weather Advisory Jan 25–26. Thank You for Your Patience.

There’s another winter storm moving through the Berkshires this afternoon and evening through tomorrow morning. Looks like we may have a repeat of Monday’s snow, sleet, and wintry mix. Add to that potentially stronger winds this time.

Please know that the Highway crew is aware of the numerous bowed trees on Washington Mountain Rd and Blotz Rd from the previous storm which continue to impact travel. We are operating with limited resources, and the top priority these past few days has been critical repairs to two of our plow trucks in order to be able to handle this impending weather event. The crew will be in the field addressing the trees to the extent they can before they have to turn their attention back to plowing, salting, and sanding.

We encourage anyone who does not absolutely need to travel  this afternoon and evening to please stay home and stay safe. We hope to have everything cleared by midday tomorrow.

If you do need to be out, please leave extra time, slow down, and take care.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.
